My lovely Barry M nail paint collection

How are you beautiful people today?

So, this post is all about the lovely things that are Barry M nail paints - I lurve them and so I thought I would show the ones I have. They are mostly pastel-y and pink colours - but what can I say, I am a true girlie girl!

The first two pictures are my favourites of my seven colours, I plan to expand my small collection with more adventurous colours soon :)

Nail paint in '119' - a lovely pale pink with barbie pink undertones when built up.
This is so pretty and is very wearable. A definite top choice pour moi :)

Nail paint in '308 berry ice-cream' - I have all of the ice-cream range (apart from the mint colour) and this cute, lilac colour is my favourite of that range :D

The rest of my collection. I do normally apply a base coat before using this product, that way it lasts much longer without chipping.

Nail paint in '307 lemon ice-cream' - I love wearing this with toned down grey and beige clothes to make my nails really pop out in colder weather. I will be wearing this lots for A/W.
Nail paint in '306 berry ice-cream' - Well, I can't say I've ever seen ice-cream this colour! I love blue nail polish and this bright, sea blue was great for the summer months.
Nail paint in 'limited edition' - I bought this solely because it had a gold lid but I actually love the colour, a cool fuchsia style purple - funky :).
Nail paint in '279 bright pink' - This was the first Barry M polish I ever bought and I still really enjoy wearing it. People often rave about 'flamingo pink', a similar colour to this but with more coral like tones, but I think this one is just as lovely.
Nail paint in '272 shocking pink' - I have to say, this may just be my least favourite colour in this collection, however if you like dark but eye popping pinks then this is for you. Maybe I'm just not brave enough. (P.S. sorry the writing is in red for this one, I couldn't find an appropriate pink )

♥ ♥ ♥

I hope you enjoyed this post and please comment and follow.

Any colours from Barry M to recommend?

August faves

Hello my sweety pies!
I have seen lots of these monthly favourite things before and I really enjoy reading and watching them so I thought I would do one myself. These are all products that I loved using this month and will most probably re-purchase soon!
This will be my last post for about a week because tomorrow I am going to Mallorca - I'm so very very excited, ahh! But I will do a holiday post when I get back to show some of the makeup and fashion looks I created when I was there and just general pictures of the lovely summery sun :)
I hope you enjoy reading this and don't forget to comment - I love reading what you have to say and I will definitely reply if you have any questions!

17 lasting finish nail polish in 'peacock'
I got this one for my birthday from a lurvely friend and I instantly fell in love with the colour. It's a gorgeous turquoise-y blue and has really pretty green shimmers in it.
The formulation is a good constistency and it builds well too :)
You can buy this for £2.99 at Boots.
(Btw sorry for the shoddy condition of my nails in the picture, trust me - I'm very ashamed :(. )

Primark makeup brushes, Purple Kabuki brush & Blusher Brush. Both were £1.50 each.
First of all, these brushes are so soft it's actually unreal.
The Kabuki one has very good grab and is great for powder foundation and pressed powder, it also gives a lovely even, matte finish - something that I am always striving for :)
The Blusher brush is great as well, it's very nice feeling on the skin and blends really well for such a cheap brand. I am impressed by both of these and I use them everyday!

Love ETC... perfume by The Body Shop.
I love this! You might have seen this on my room tour, the ring on the lid was a present and I put in on because I thought it looked pretty cool :D
The perfume smells so pretty and feminine and has lovely floral notes. It makes me feel really fresh and lasts a lot better than many other perfumes I've tried.
It's also really cheap at just £12 compared to more expensive brands. I got it for £7 at a discount stall - woop woop :D
I recommend this, a lot.

ELF mineral foundation with SPF 15 in light, available from www.eyeslipsface.com
I have tried too many foundations to count and they've all been wrong for me. I have very sensitive and oily skin causing me to get lots of blemishes so I do like coverage but at the same time I don't want to clog my pores.
This is the first powder foundation I have tried because I always thought the coverage would be too light but I was surprised to see that it gave a good, medium coverage and is build-able.
The powder feels light on my skin and gives it a natural, rather then cakey looking, matte finish. This is a winner for me. And at only £3.50 it would be ridiculous for me to complain ;)

Of course I had to include a lipstick in this post :) But when I found myself browsing my collection for my fave of the month I couldn't just choose one! So here are three :)
Barry M touch of magic - £4.25
I still can't really get over this lippie - it reacts with the natural Ph balance in your lips and turns them pink and for mine they go almost red it's so bright :) I love this with a white based eye because it looks really dramatic. A great product.
2true glossywear lipstick in shade 7 - £1.99 (i think!)
I wasn't expecting too much from this lipstick because it was so cheap but I actually really like it! I have worn it lots and I like it a bit more each time I do wear it. It's a coral-y pink colour and has a really pretty sheen, it's also quite moisturising. If you're on a budget and want a pretty summery lip then this is for you :)
ELF mineral lipstick in 'runaway pink' - £3.50
This was a gift from my lovely friend hebeflora and it's probably my favourite of the three :) It's such a pretty neutral pink and the formulation is lovely, it's nice and creamy and lasts well. It's also very wearable and complements a pink blush perfectly. A must buy!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please follow if you haven't already -- it means a lot to get followers! :D
I will get back to you all after my holiday!
Have a lovely week and I hope the weather brightens up for you all.

lots of blog lurve and hugs and makeup joy, hehe :)

hello beautiful bloggers :)
I went shopping with my gorgeous sister today and I thought I would show you what I got ♥
Purse: Accessorize - £12. I'm really into union jacks and stuff at the moment so ♥ this! :)
Bobbie pin: New Look - £1. This was in the sale and is so cute :)
Lipstick: MAC - £12.50. I've wanted a MAC lipstick for a while now and I was going to get a normal one but this Lady Gaga one really caught my eye :) the colour is gorgeous!
Nail Paint: Barry M - £2.95. This is 'limited edition' and has a gold lid - pretty funkadelic :) and is a pretty pinky fuchsia colour. Can't really go wrong with Barry M!

this picture is reeeally bad quality :/ but this is a swatch of the lippie - it's a lovely bright poppy pink and the application is so smooth and creamy :) and very wearable actually :D
(for some reason I can't get rid of the words being underlined) :(

So there it is, my lovely haul!
Has anyone else bought any of these products recently and loved them like me?

lotsa love ♥ xoxo

“Just take your time, Grace,” A plump woman with a blue and white police outfit, with a faint Irish accent said to me, “tell us everything, about your Mum and about him. Try not to miss out any details. I know it’s hard for you, but it’s important. We need to know everything,” she clicked a button on a tape recorder and a low buzzing noise filled the room, “whenever you’re ready.”

Have you ever noticed that if you stare at something for long enough it can start to change? Even the flattest of objects if you keep your eyes on them and really concentrate can start to morph and form faces. As I sit here I wonder what I’m seeing change, perhaps it’s a part of me, like the terror that I bury so deep within, somewhere inside that sometimes even I can’t reach, like it’s is spilling out uncontrollably. From being trapped in my breath and pumping through my blood then escaping and filling the air and changing everything around me, making things terrifying.

6 months ago I was normal. Just normal Grace. I had a best friend, good grades with the exception of Maths and Physics, a pet cat called Pat who I adored, I did my homework on time, washed up the supper plates with my Dad listening to The Beatles every night, went to the park at weekends sitting listening to music on the grass and laughing with the people I loved to spend time with and lay on the sofa on Wednesday evenings under a blanket with my sister watching Corrie. 6 months ago I was so different. 6 months ago I had a mum.

The day we found out was the 14th April 2007. Now I look back on it, it feels like a dream, a blur that I can barely remember. It’s like I’ve blocked it out of memory and put it somewhere at the back of my mind which I can’t reach and each time I try and grab for it, it tumbles further away.

hope you like it! :D

the dream team ♥

hello beautiful bloggers :)

I just wanted to show you some of my fave beauty products at the moment and let you know why I love them so much and give them a score out of ten :)

they are:

Benefit lipgloss in 'who are you wearing?' This was given to me by a friend for a birthday present and I loved it as soon as I started using it! First of all, I love the colour - it's a really pretty, purple-y fuchsia with a hint of sparkly pink which is great for putting over your fave pink lipstick for extra shine or it's great on it's own. It also smells amazing which is a plus! And the applicator wand is a nice shape and easy to use :) This product retails at £14 - not cheap, but a good investment if you want lovely lips :D

Overall a great lip gloss and I would purchase again!

8/10

Collection 2000 Hot Looks nail polish in 'button moon'. Well, I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! This was given to me by a very good friend of mine and it is amazing! The colour is gorgeous and looks so lovely for summer and when worn with gold rings looks especially nice. The application is really smooth and it dries very fast and lasts for a good amount of time without chipping. If you wear one coat you get a lovely pale sky blue and then as you build coats a more bright aqua blue is created - and both are nice :) Overall, this is definitely my fave of the faves :D

This product retails at £1.79, an incredible bargain!

9.5/10

Barry M Lip Paint in '101 - Marshmallow'.I bought this product on a whim when shopping with some friends and was wondering whether I should have got it when I got home - but now, I am SO glad I did! The colour is really pretty, especially if you are partial to a pale lip and has a lovely pink sheen to it. The texture is really smooth and creamy so it's nice to apply, but I did find that sometimes it became slightly 'bitty' on my lips so you need a good lip balm underneath. It lasts well but you do need to keep applying throughout the day to keep the colour vibrant. Looks lovely with the Benefit lip gloss mentioned earlier! :) Overall a nice lipstick and a colour worth getting.

This product retails £4.25 - very reasonable for lipstick nowadays :D

7.5/10

Marks and Spencer's Blusher Brush. I really like this! I got it for my birthday and thought, since it was from marks and spencer, that it wouldn't be very good quality but I was definitely wrong! The brush is so soft and is lovely for blusher and pressed powder as well and gives a really clean and flawless finish :) I've used more professional brushes, like MAC one's before, and they're pretty much the same as this but the different is, this is much cheaper! Lovely product :)

This product retails at £7.50 and there are lots more brushes in the range :)

8/10

So that's it! My faves and I really would recommend all of them :)
Thanks for reading.

love xoxo
