Be right back :)

Hello sweetys!
Just a very rapido post to say again that I won't be blogging for about two weeks because I am off to Mallorca for a week (and I am so looking forward to it!) and then I am back to being a schoolgirl so will be busy with that. But at some point afterwards I will make a post about my holiday, if not sooner :)
I'm hoping where I'm going has a gorgeous beach like the one is the picture above! ;)
Has anyone else been to Mallorca and liked it?

So, have a great last week if you're back to school soon like me, and I hope the weather brightens up for everyone (except, I kind of don't so that I can boast about it being sunny where I'm going teehee)

Follow me if you haven't already- it means a lot!

Blog ya later!

August faves

Hello my sweety pies!
I have seen lots of these monthly favourite things before and I really enjoy reading and watching them so I thought I would do one myself. These are all products that I loved using this month and will most probably re-purchase soon!
This will be my last post for about a week because tomorrow I am going to Mallorca - I'm so very very excited, ahh! But I will do a holiday post when I get back to show some of the makeup and fashion looks I created when I was there and just general pictures of the lovely summery sun :)
I hope you enjoy reading this and don't forget to comment - I love reading what you have to say and I will definitely reply if you have any questions!

17 lasting finish nail polish in 'peacock'
I got this one for my birthday from a lurvely friend and I instantly fell in love with the colour. It's a gorgeous turquoise-y blue and has really pretty green shimmers in it.
The formulation is a good constistency and it builds well too :)
You can buy this for £2.99 at Boots.
(Btw sorry for the shoddy condition of my nails in the picture, trust me - I'm very ashamed :(. )

Primark makeup brushes, Purple Kabuki brush & Blusher Brush. Both were £1.50 each.
First of all, these brushes are so soft it's actually unreal.
The Kabuki one has very good grab and is great for powder foundation and pressed powder, it also gives a lovely even, matte finish - something that I am always striving for :)
The Blusher brush is great as well, it's very nice feeling on the skin and blends really well for such a cheap brand. I am impressed by both of these and I use them everyday!

Love ETC... perfume by The Body Shop.
I love this! You might have seen this on my room tour, the ring on the lid was a present and I put in on because I thought it looked pretty cool :D
The perfume smells so pretty and feminine and has lovely floral notes. It makes me feel really fresh and lasts a lot better than many other perfumes I've tried.
It's also really cheap at just £12 compared to more expensive brands. I got it for £7 at a discount stall - woop woop :D
I recommend this, a lot.

ELF mineral foundation with SPF 15 in light, available from www.eyeslipsface.com
I have tried too many foundations to count and they've all been wrong for me. I have very sensitive and oily skin causing me to get lots of blemishes so I do like coverage but at the same time I don't want to clog my pores.
This is the first powder foundation I have tried because I always thought the coverage would be too light but I was surprised to see that it gave a good, medium coverage and is build-able.
The powder feels light on my skin and gives it a natural, rather then cakey looking, matte finish. This is a winner for me. And at only £3.50 it would be ridiculous for me to complain ;)

Of course I had to include a lipstick in this post :) But when I found myself browsing my collection for my fave of the month I couldn't just choose one! So here are three :)
Barry M touch of magic - £4.25
I still can't really get over this lippie - it reacts with the natural Ph balance in your lips and turns them pink and for mine they go almost red it's so bright :) I love this with a white based eye because it looks really dramatic. A great product.
2true glossywear lipstick in shade 7 - £1.99 (i think!)
I wasn't expecting too much from this lipstick because it was so cheap but I actually really like it! I have worn it lots and I like it a bit more each time I do wear it. It's a coral-y pink colour and has a really pretty sheen, it's also quite moisturising. If you're on a budget and want a pretty summery lip then this is for you :)
ELF mineral lipstick in 'runaway pink' - £3.50
This was a gift from my lovely friend hebeflora and it's probably my favourite of the three :) It's such a pretty neutral pink and the formulation is lovely, it's nice and creamy and lasts well. It's also very wearable and complements a pink blush perfectly. A must buy!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please follow if you haven't already -- it means a lot to get followers! :D
I will get back to you all after my holiday!
Have a lovely week and I hope the weather brightens up for you all.

lots of blog lurve and hugs and makeup joy, hehe :)

I spend too much money...HAUL

Hey everybody! ♥
So I went shopping, again... with my lovely friend hebeflora and I got some reeeally nice stuff :)
So I really hope you enjoy this post and don't forget to comment and follow!

everything :)

No.7 Shine Free Primer - 'Stops shine for a matte finish'
So, I had another £5 off voucher and have been lusting after a primer for ages. I wanted a moisturising one rather than a gel and this one is so smooth and makes my skin so so soft. And seems to really mattify. I really like this. It usually retails at £10.75, but I paid £5.75 - yay :D.

this primer is so silky and great to apply. I recommend, a lot.

The next two products are my favourites :)
If you have read a recent post of mine called 'currently lusting after' then you would know that I really wanted this cream blush from MeMeMe. So I was completely set on getting that one, but when I found it, it was really small, I mean literally tiny and I just kinda thought, OH. So I decided that it wasn't for me :( But then Hebe said I should look at the Topshop cream blushes and I thought, why not. So I did. And I loved them! This one is called 'Flush' and is a really lovely bright pink and the formula seemed really nice and creamy. Also, I adore the packaging, I think it's so unique and quirky. The cream blush was £6 - one of the more reasonably priced items from Topshop's makeup range.

I also got, to go with the blusher, this amazing brush from the QVS line at Superdrug. I thought it would be great for cream products and I can't wait to use the two together. This brush is so so soft, ah it's incredible! And that was £6.99 :)

Love love loveeee.

I also got this eye pencil from H&M, I've always been slightly sceptical about their make up but I thought you couldn't really go wrong with one of these. And...I was right! I actually really like this product, it's quite creamy and applies really nicely. It's a really pretty shimmery browny-grey with lilac undertones and would look lovely in the evening for when I go on holiday. And it was only £1.99 - what's not to like? ;)

a swatch of the eye pencil - sorry for the bad quality photo.

The last thing on my haul is this lipstick. It's from Miss Sporty, a brand I don't normally buy from and it quite an unusual colour - purple. The formulation is very sheer which I actually really like and it comes out quite pinky-purple and I think it looks really funky. And it was only £2.49.

A swatch of the lippie. Sorry again for the bad quality photo.

So, that's my haul finished! What do you think of my new things? :)
Have any of you bought these things recently?
Or anything to recommend?

Hope you enjoying the rain, NOT :(

lots of blog lurve.

What skin type do you have?
Oily/combination – hate, hate, hate it :(

Simple ‘kind to skin, refreshing, face wash gel’

Do you exfoliate?

Not very often, it’s best not to use too many products on my skin

What brand do you use?
-------

What moisutiser do you use? I use Simple light moisturiser – it’s really gorgeous and sinks in so quickly, I recommend! Great for my skin type too.

Do you have freckles?
No, I’ve never had them…

Do you use eye cream?
No, I don’t think I really need it at this age. Don’t fix what ain’t broke ;)

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
Yes :( *sob sob

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?
No, I have to say I don’t actually know what that is…haha

MAKE UP

What foundation do you use?
At the moment Elf Mineral foundation in light, with
SPF 15 and I ♥ it. I don’t like anything too heavy so this loose powder one is great.

How about concealer?
Collection 2000, 16 hour long wear concealer in medium 3 – I have been re-purchasing this for aaaages.

Do you know your undertone color?
Probably quite light.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I love them, but I rarely have the chance to wear them :(

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes – I think I do :)

What brand of mascara do you use?

At the moment Max Factor’s False Lash effect mascara, seriously BUY IT.

Sephora or
MAC?
Hmm, let’s see. I can’t really afford
MAC and I’ve never been to Sephora. Superdrug? ;)

Do you have a
MAC Pro-card?
Nah, but I like to think of myself as a ‘pro’ haa

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?
Kabuki brush, concealer brush, total face brush, several types of blusher brush, eyeshadow brushes, eyeliner smudge brush, lip brush.

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes – No.7 Smoothing protect and perfect – I think it’s called.

For the face?
No, but I have serious lust factor for one!

What is your favorite eyeshadow (colour or shade)?
Hmm, that’s actually really tricky – I guess probably, at the moment (but it will probably change soon) 17 single eyeshadow in punky purple, I think they’re £3.49 each.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
Both. But I prefer liquid.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Haha, that’s a funny question. A lot less than I used to.

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
Hmm, they can be a bit messy and create a lotta fallout but they last ages, I like ‘em.

Do you use mineral makeup?
Yes, I’ve just discovered it and I’m so glad I did.

What is your favorite lipstick?
Ooh – don’t ask me that!

I think Barry M’s touch of magic is pretty spesh :)

But it’s gotta be Barry’s ol’ 101 marshmallow – me and that lipstick have a love-hate relationship, but at the moment all I feel is luurrrvveee.

How about lipgloss?
Benefit’s lip gloss in ‘life on the A list’ – a gorgeous peachy baby pink.

What is your favorite blush to use?
Probably this BC compact, think it’s from Just Beauty, that ma friend gave me. It’s just beyond gorgeous!

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
They sell makeup?!

Do you like drugstore makeup?
Love. Nuff said.

Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)
Nopey nope.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
I’ve had a makeup ‘lesson’ at Benefit, if that counts hehe. But I think it would be fun, yeah, would like it give it a try I think :)

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
I hope not!

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Orange foundation, I know a lot of people who commit that crime, EVERYDAY. Haha :D

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
Eyeshadow – nothing too bright, unless the occasion calls for it, I’m a big fan of golds, browns and purples because they compliment my green eyes.

Lips – I tend to stick to a pale lip, but I’m always trying bright pinks. I’m still too much of a scaredy cat for red though.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
Cheryl Cole – of course.

If you could leave the house using just
ONE make up item, what would you use?
Mascara.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yeah I think so. But is a paper bag allowed?

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
Hmm, I think not. But I guess everyone thinks that. I think makeup is so good for giving people confidence; it definitely makes me feel like that :)

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
I think my top three are: Barry M, Collection 2000 and Benefit.

What do you think of Makeup??
I love it. What else is there to say…?

Well, that's it - I hope you enjoyed reading my answers lovelies!

things I'm currently lusting after...

I'm always always always lusting after many things, here are the top five at the moment...

MeMeMe Cheek-E Blusher in Peach-E, £4.99
I have heard goooood things about this cream blush and it looks like a lovely summery peachy pink for my holiday in Mallorca in a few days time, just gotta go out and buy it first...

You Rebel Lite tinted moisturiser - Benefit, £21.50.
I had this applied during a make over and instantly fell in love.
Sadly I'm not sure I can splash out for it. Christmas methinks?

models own powder blush in warm glow - Boots, £5.
Do you really need another peach coloured blusher? I hear you say.
Well the answer is: Don't be silly, of course! ;)
Gosh lipstick in Darling - Boots, £6.
love, love, love it ♥ nuff said.

Long, voluminous hair, priceless.
I have, since I can remember, wanted long hair. But being the idiot I am, I keep going to the hairdressers and getting it cut short, something just takes over me when I walk in a salon. But I am determined to grow mine now. And I will have hair like Cheryl Cole by the end of 2011. I will.

Hope you enjoyed this post :)

Anything you're currently lusting after?

review: False Nails ♥

hey everybody :)
So, the other day I went shopping for a bit with a lovely friend and picked up some fake nails because I was feeling very depressed about my short, bitten ones.
But now I am definitely NOT depressed because I am wearing these lurvelies! YAY ♥

They are from Superdrug and are 'Perfect Girl - perfectly french - natural length' false nails, and it says 'NEW' at the top :) which makes them even more special. They were about £3 - £3.50 - can't quite remember.

I have tried various types of falsies and these are probs my faves :)
When you buy them the white tips are slightly square so I rounded mine off a bit with a nail file and them buffed them :)

So, moment of truth - here they are...

The packaging doesn't actually look like this anymore, but is similar, just to give you an idea if you're looking for them :D

I have applied a light layer of Rimmel nail care strengthening coat to make them look extra shiny :)

Yeah, so I really would recommend these - easy to apply and great if you're someone who bites their nails and needs a boost of fingernail related self-confidence, hehe.

Don't forget to follow!

lovee xoxo

a tour of my room :)

hello lovelies!
So, recently I tidied and re-arranged my room and made it much more prettified than it was before :) and I thought I would show people on here.
So, here we go...

My bed and my lovely shoes picture.
The Bed is from Ikea and so is the canvas of the shoes.

My nail bar :) The piece of paper is swatches of all of them - hehe I was very bored when I made this! All my Barry M ones at the front ♥

My patriotic chair.
Union jack cushion is from Store 21 and was £6! I really recommend Store 21 for homewares, you can find some really great bargains.
Spotty pink cushion is from Next, I think it was about £12 or £15.

Marilyn Monroe poster :) (HMV - £3.99)

Shoesies canvas :)

My makeup brush collection - I put all of them into a pretty jam jar and stuck a cute pink bow on it :) and put some gorgeous candles out as well. And the teddy's name is Eddie :)

My 'most-worn' jewellery and perfume. Rings on the hand, studs in the little box and dangly earrings in the cupcake mug. The perfume is 'Love ETC' by The Body Shop and I ♥ it, I picked it up for about £7 at a town fayre on a discount stall (yay) but I think it's usually £12, not sure.

My mirror and my necklaces. I stuck some pretty satin hearts on the mirror that I got for valentines day a few years ago, hehe.

My storage. My beauty stuff, hair stuff and makeup in the draws. My 'occasional' jewellery in the blue and silver box and my school books in the basket :)

My 'motif' wall ♥
Just things I liked and were nostalgic for me, I stuck on the wall, pictures, magazine clippings, pics of fit guys haha, messages, song lyrics etc.

The top draw of my white drawers (a couple of pictures before). This is my face bases, blushes and bronzers and my moisturisers and wipes. Basically just face essentials :)

Second draw. Eyes and lips :)

My EVERYTHING chair, makeup chair, hair chair, beautifying chair, just general 'sitting on' chair etc, lol. :)

I thought this was a pretty funky way of using the lid of my perfume 'Marc Jacob's Daisy' - which is my name yay! I finished the product but didnt want to get rid of the lid so I decided I would stick on one of my bed knobs. Love it ♥

So, that's the end of my room tour - I hope you enjoyed reading if you got this far and please follow if you haven't already done so.

Bye m'lovies xoxo

haul: Boots & Superdrug

hey beautiful people :)
I went shopping today with a couple of mates and went absolutely crazy :) I got loads!
I had a 'free makeup lesson' at the Benefit counter in Boots and had a makeover - which was so fun :) I would really recommend booking one, they're free and the products really are gorgeous, I couldn't buy this (as it was too expensive), but the girl used 'You Rebel Lite - tinted moisturiser' on me and it was amazing - I am definitely lusting after that ;)
So yeah, let's get on with the haul...

all the products :)

Stuff from 17 at Boots.
At my makeup lesson at Benefit the girl gave me a really pretty purple eye - so since I can't really afford Benefit I went to 17 and tried to recreate the look for less money ;)
-x2 eyeshadows in Regal (the navy blue) and Punky Purple - £3.49 each
At the moment they have an offer where if you spend more than £6 you get a free Bronzing Summer Glow kit which includes -
-1x Mirror Shine lipstick in Sugar Daddy
-2x Eyeshadows in Ivory Coast and Statuesque
-1x Instant glow bronzing powder in medium
-1x Bronzing brush & 1x eye applicator
I never really use these free gift things but I thought this was quite generous for only spending 6 pounds - a nice thing to have in the draw :)

-beautyuk eye shadow and eye liner collection 1
This is their new palette and looks quite cool, I was going for bright colours and this looked perfect :) - £3.99

I had two of the £5 off vounchers for No.7 and Ruby and Mille cosmetics so went to look :)
I have always liked the look of their eyebrow pencils and needed a base for eyeshadow so these two things were perfect :D
I bought
-Beautiful brows pencil in 10 brown/black - RRP £7.25, I paid £2.25 :)
-Stay Perfect Smoothing and Brightening eye base - RRP £7.50, I paid £2.50 :)
Stuff from 2true at Superdrug.
They always have a 3 things for £5 offer here so I got
-True Colour Blusher in Shade No. 3 (I plan to use this as a bronzer)
-Eyeshadow Dazzler in No. 9 (you can't really see this - it's a lovely bright, royal-type blue)
-Gloss-wear Lipstick in Shade 7

Stuff from Natural Collection at Boots.
I have a lot of neutral eyeshadows and not many pinks so I went for these to be different :)
They also always have a 3 products for £5 offer
-Duo Eyeshadow in Frost Shimmer/Aqua Shimmer
-x2 Single Eyeshadows in Candy Floss (the brighter one) and Soft Pink
AAAH I'm so excited about this ♥ it's absolutely gorgeous!
When I had my makeover the girl used this on me and I instantly fell in love with it :) the colour is so so pretty and ahh, it's just fab ;D
-Coralista Blush - £23.50
Luckily, I didn't have to fork out the money for this - I had a £25 boots card for my birthday so I could get this and I'm so glad I did! CAN'T WAIT TO USE IT ♥

well, that's the end of this haul.
I'm going to Primark tomorrow with my Mum and I will just tell you what I plan to buy so I don't have to do another haul :) I will be getting the foundation/concealer brush and the Kabuki brush so I might do a review of them soon!
But that's all for now :D
Hope you enjoy this post and happy thursday!

lotsa love xoxo
